Beasley (they/them) is a multi-hyphenate theatre artist from Friendswood, Texas. They graduated in May 2022 from the University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Drama, where some of their credits include The Wolves (#25), Intimate Apparel (Esther), The Gap (Lee), and Marisol (Angel), as well as A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Starveling/Moon) at OK Shakespeare in the Park. They are a current member of Ensemble Theatre’s Professional Acting Apprentice Program and they are excited to be making their Cincinnati debut on the ETC stage.

Timothy Belton (he/him) is a recent graduate of NKU’s School of the Arts. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre in the spring of 2022. He was born and raised in Northern Kentucky by his parents Sean and Julie. He loves Ohio State Football and Milwaukee Bucks Basketball with a passion and is ready to give everything he has while at The Ensemble Theatre.

Caroline Marino (she/her) recently graduated from Xavier University, where she earned a BA in Musical Theatre. She is extremely grateful and excited for this opportunity to grow as an artist at ETC!

Emmy Rice (she/her) is excited to be back on stage at Ensemble Theatre! She graduated from Xavier University with degrees in theatre performance and English and is a proud alum of ETC’s Professional Apprenticeship Program during the 2022-2023 Season. Some of her recent credits include Jeanie in Leveling Up, Xavier University; Sienna Ross in MLM Is for Murder (Or, Your Side Hustle Is Killing Us) and Natayla/Young Asa in The Dancing Princesses, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati; and various shows in the Cincinnati Fringe Festival.

Elexis Selmon is a graduate of Loyola University in New Orleans where she majored in theatre arts and psychology. Her recent credits include Gidela in The Dancing Princesses, Ensemble Theatre; Maude Lynn in The House That Will Not Stand, Le Petit Theatre; and Mercy in School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play, The NOLA Project. Elexis is very excited to be a part of this production!

John Bavoso (he/him/his) is a Washington, DC-based playwright, marketer, and book/theatre reviewer. John mostly writes plays about women and queer people who are awkwardly attempting (and generally failing) to engage with serious subject matter using only dry wit and impeccably timed combative taunts. He is a member of the Dramatists Guild of America, a 2019 Lambda Literary Fellow, and the recipient of District of Columbia FY18 and FY19 Arts and Humanities Fellowships. His first full-length play, Olizzia, premiered at the 2014 Capital Fringe Festival, prompting DC Metro Theatre Arts to dub him “a playwright to watch out for.” His plays have been produced and/or developed in DC, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin; Canada; Japan; South Korea; India; United Arab Emirates; Australia; and the UK.

Torie Wiggins is a multi-hyphenate artist whose Cincinnati theatre credits include Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson and Harry and the Thief, Know Theatre of Cincinnati; Mame, Crowns, and The Revolutionists, Human Race Theatre Company; To Kill a Mockingbird, Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park; To Kill a Mockingbird, Oliver Twist, A Raisin in the Sun, and Fences, and Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, Cincinnati Shakespeare Company; and Twilight: Los Angeles 1992 by Anna Deveare Smith, Diogenes Theatre Company. Her Ensemble Theatre credits include The Mountaintop, Violet, Alice in Wonderland, Around the World in 80 Days, Cinderella, Cinderella: After Ever After, and His Eye is on The Sparrow. Torie’s directing credits include We Are Proud to Present… and Good Kids, Miami University’s Department of Theatre; Dreamgirls and Proof, The Carnegie Theater; and Blues for an Alabama Sky, Falcon Theatre.

Rae Kuhn is in their fifth season at Ensemble Theatre. Rae graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a Multidisciplinary degree focusing on fine arts, creative writing, and neuropsychology; however, technical theatre has been a hobby since high school. Rae is a former scenic artist for 3DX, and has worked in stage management, sound engineering, and special effects makeup for organizations including New Edgecliff Theatre, Falcon Theatre, and Cincinnati Landmark Productions. Rae began painting backdrops for ETC’s Education Department, which led to their current position at ETC, where their favorite credits are Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Bloomsday, and When We Were Young and Unafraid.

Chris Lipstreu (he/him) is a concert and theatrical lighting specialist and project manager based out of Cincinnati, Ohio. He recently served as the lighting director for the national tour of Nutcracker! Magical Christmas Ballet and served as the lighting designer for The Wild Party, Into the Woods, RENT, The Rocky Horror Show, and Spring Awakening at Short North Stage in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, he is the owner of Centerline Productions LLC, providing lighting services for numerous concerts, productions, festivals, and political and corporate events in the region. Chris received his BFA in lighting design from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music in 2021. This is his first season as the Associate Production Manager & Master Electrician for Ensemble Theatre.

Brooke Arthur (she/her) is Ensemble Theatre’s Costume Supervisor. Her past design credits include Stupid F**king Bird, Ensemble Theatre; Fidelio, Queen City Opera; and Twelfth Night, Every Brilliant Thing, and Bulletproof Backpack, Florida Repertory Theatre. She has worked in varying costume roles with Florida Repertory Theatre, Arizona Opera, Tuacahn Center for the Arts, Shakespeare & Co., and Illinois Shakespeare Festival. She is a graduate from the University of Cincinnati- College Conservatory of Music.

Shannon Rae Lutz  (she/her) earned her Master’s degree from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music in 1996 and became Properties Master at Ensemble Theatre. Trained as a performer, she first appeared on ETC’s stage during the 1988-1989 New Works Festival. In 1991, she was granted an ETC internship. Now the Director of Apprentice Programming, she is honored to guide ETC’s essential ensemble: The Professional Acting Apprentice Company. Shannon would like to thank D. Lynn Meyers, Ruth Sawyer, and the Cincinnati theatre community and patrons for their generous, supportive, and tenacious spirit.

Jack Murphy (he/him) grew up in the Cincinnati area and studied technical theatre at Hanover College. While there, he spent his summers at several different summer stock theatres including Georgia Shakespeare Company and the Brevard Music Center’s Janiec Opera Company as a carpenter. After graduation, he moved to Bellport, NY to work for The Gateway Playhouse as a carpenter and rigger, and he went on to work for Norwegian Cruise Line. After another summer at the Janiec Opera Company, he came full circle and returned home to Cincinnati. Jack is eager to continue to do the cutting edge work ETC is known for and has enjoyed working on such productions as An Iliad, Grounded, and The Humans.

Margot Whitney (she/her) is thrilled to be a part of the Ensemble Theatre family! Her previous credits include Sweat on Broadway and the first national tours of Mean Girls, Come From Away, Bright Star, The King & I, Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Cinderella, and War Horse. She has worked with The Public Theatre, Signature Theatre Company, New York Stage and Film, Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, La Jolla Playhouse, Virginia Opera, Cincinnati Opera, Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati during the 2012-2013 Season, and Cincinnati Ballet. Margot received her BFA from the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music.

Emily Misali (she/her) has a BA in Theatre from the University of Kentucky with a primary focus in Stage Management. Previous credits include Stage Manager for The Drunken City and Cabaret at the University of Kentucky, as well as Assistant Stage Manager for Million Dollar Quartet at Endstation Theatre Company in Lynchburg, Virginia; ASM for West Side Story and Newsies at The Lexington Theatre Company; and ASM for Fences at AthensWest Theatre Company in Lexington, Kentucky. She is so excited to be working with The Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati and would like to thank her family, friends, and all her previous mentors for their love and support!
