So you love the arts and want to do more than be in the audience? That’s musical theatre to our ears.
Theatre takes a village.
For every actor on stage, there is a dedicated team of designers, crew members, teaching artists, volunteers, and administrators working behind the scenes to deliver the compelling theatre and meaningful educational programs our community deserves.
These passionate individuals collectively make up our Ensemble by contributing their time and talents and our work would simply not exist without their collaborative efforts.
If you’re someone who is enthusiastic about theatre and wants to work with us, we invite you to become part of our team. There are a variety of ways you can get more involved with our organization—from volunteer opportunities to our annual playwriting competition to auditions and jobs.
Auditions
We’re always looking for new talent to shine on our stage and encourage actors of all types, ages, ethnicities, genders, and abilities to audition.
Jobs
Explore full- and part-time opportunities with Greater Cincinnati’s leading producer of compelling, contemporary theatre.
Apprenticeships
We provide hands-on learning opportunities for professionally bound actors and theatre makers.
Volunteer
We rely on hundreds of enthusiastic volunteers each season to make our shows and outreach programs possible.
Playwriting Competition
Our annual collegiate competition nurtures local aspiring dramatists who are shaping the future of American theatre.
10-Minute Play Submissions: Journey
Submit your 10-minute play by December 15, 2024.
If you have questions about submission or the event, please contact Jared D. Doren, Programming and Events Manager, at jdoren@ensemblecincinnati.org.
About the event
Our 10-Minute Connections: Journey event is part of our Studio Series, a celebration of local artists. These FREE events are open to the public and go behind-the-scenes into the creative process of theatre and writing.
Five to six plays by local writers will be selected to perform in public readings as part of our 10-Minute Connections on January 9, 2025. Audiences will then vote for their favorites from that reading to be performed at the end of the season as a workshop on our main stage. All selected plays will have a theme of journey.
