Where do I fit in with my family and friends?

Our upcoming production of I Need That explores themes of hoarding and the complex relationships between family and friends. We will enhance this theatre experience by hosting a special discussion with storytelling in our ETC Essentials programming, a free conversation series that explores the context and select themes of our mainstage productions.

For this discussion, we’re partnering with TrueTheatre, a non-profit organization whose mission is to bring together a wide variety of people to share stories to create community, encourage discussion, and remind everyone that ALL of us have stories to tell with unique insights and broad appeal. We are also inviting PFLAG Cincinnati, an organization who’s mission is to create a caring, just, and affirming world for LGBTQ+ people and those who love them. We will invite guests from our theater community and beyond to provide insights on gender identities, youth cultural expectations, and the impact of pronouns within family and social contexts. This conversation will deepen understanding of how gender identity intersects with personal and familial relationships.
