“This happened on December 30, 2003. That may seem a while ago, but it won’t when it happens to you . . .”
Few writers have experienced loss so suddenly and profoundly—or chronicled it as beautifully—as Joan Didion. Adapted from the best-selling memoir, The Year of Magical Thinking recounts Didion’s journey of loss, perseverance, and ultimately hope, using her signature wit to draw an intimate portrait of the resilience of the human heart. This staged reading is a unique and intimate theatrical event in ETC’s rehearsal hall and features the inimitable Dale Hodges.
Seating is limited; Saturday, May 3 ticket includes a preshow tea event.
